It operated from October 1979 until its closure in February 2019. Demolition began on March 26, 2024, and was completed on April 30, 2026. Planned in 1976, the mall was built on a former slag dump. Anchor stores included Kaufmann's, Gimbels, JCPenney, Sears, and Montgomery Ward.",
