How introductions work
Sources: county parcels, SEC filings, company sites. The owner is not obliged to reply. Retrofit Atlas is a research database, not a brokerage: we represent neither side and take no fee on any transaction. A person at the desk reviews each outbound note before it goes. We write only to an owner of record or a company in SEC filings that clearly matches the owner, never to the loan servicer about an asset sale. We send your name and request to the owner, who then holds a copy we cannot withdraw; we do not publish or sell them, we use them for nothing else, and before the note goes we delete them when you ask. Retrofit Atlas is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Retrofitting Suburbia authors.
What early access will include
- Downloadable dossiers per site (PDF) with every layer, source and quote.
- Lead lists with the owner of record where the county publishes it (business names only, subject to each county's terms), refreshed on every build.
- The JSON API with higher limits and a changes feed for your own agents.
- State fact sheets and a top-50 list of the largest closed sites.
No prices are published until the licence is agreed with the authors. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell.
