Retrofit Atlas

How the Atlas compares

The tools a broker, lender, developer, planner or researcher already uses for the same questions, and what each has that the Atlas does not, and the reverse. Figures come from the vendor pages linked on each comparison page and carry the date they were read. CoStar, LoopNet, Crexi, Trepp and ULI pages could not be re-read on 21 Oct 2026 (403 or a blocked fetch); their cells say so and lean on third-party pages, each with the date read. Nothing here is a ranking. Corrections from vendors: desk@retrofitatlas.org.

Where the Atlas stands

The Atlas is a reference, not a marketplace or a terminal: one citable page per former mall with what it was, what it became, who owns it, what it sold for and the policy tools behind it, each value with a provenance chip; open formats, a free API and MCP server, dated releases. It has no rent rolls, comps, foot traffic or loan-level DSCR; the pages above say who does. Generated 2026-10-21.
