Retrofit Atlas

Contribute, premium, support

Retrofit Atlas is a project of Hadi Irvani, run as an open reference in its academic phase: free to read, free to cite, no advertising. It is kept honest by the people who use it.

Contribute, wiki-style

Every record has a Correct this record link and a public change log. Submissions go into a review queue with their source, a person checks them, and the contributor is credited on the page. Add a site, a plan, a photo you have rights to, a hearing date or an owner correction through the contribute form, or email desk@retrofitatlas.org. Bulk contributions (a city, a university class, a brokerage) are welcome: write first and we will set up a sheet.

Premium, later

Reading, searching, citing, the map, the API and the record downloads stay free. The parts that cost money to produce are gated behind an early-access request today and will become paid tiers once the authors agree: lead lists with owner contacts, CSV exports of the whole database, dossiers, custom lists and a higher level of trends. Request early access. Nothing is sold until a licence with the authors is signed.

Book the authors

For a deep dive on a site, a talk or a priority ranking of a portfolio, the authors take research inquiries directly at retrofittingsuburbia.com. Fees and terms are theirs.

Support the Atlas

A tip link (buy-me-a-coffee style) is being set up. Until then, the best support is a correction or a new record.
