Summary, model-written
Original Wembley Stadium (opened 1923, closed 2000) was demolished. A new stadium opened in 2007 under 'redevelop' strategy, now used for entertainment. Status listed as 'demolished' but new structure exists.
Why. Record shows closure of original (2000) and retrofit (2007) with new use. No success metrics provided beyond 'modernised stadium with grand skyline arch' in notes.
Where it stands. Within 10km: 7 developments (e.g., South Acton estate under construction, Whiteleys built). All peers listed are malls (not stadiums), so context not directly comparable.
For a planner
- Status conflict: 'demolished' but new structure opened 2007.
For a developer
- No occupancy or revenue data. New use confirmed as entertainment. Nearby developments include proposed projects (e.g., Kew Retail Park).
What we do not know yet
- Type listed as 'other' (not mall), so not a typical Retrofit Atlas case. 'Verified' status is 'draft'. No data on retrofit cost or community impact.
